Greyhound Bar KO Cup 1/4 Final
On Friday night in front off a huge crowd we continued in our bid to retain the Greyhound Bar Cup at home to neighbours Shanakill Athletic. It only too 100 seconds for us to take the lead when Pa McCarthy raced through to clinically finish from just inside the box.
Pa McCarthy then became creator as he first set up Anthony Murphy to score from close range and then he set Dan Robinson up whose finish was fantastic from just out side the 18 yard box. 3-0 at half time.
The second half saw us miss numerous chances but the lack off effort by players was the main concern for us all over the park. Shanakill never stopped chasing the game and got one back with 20 minutes remaining. 3-1 it finished and now we face Iveragh United or Rattoo Rovers in the semi-final.
