On a cold damp afternoon the game got under way with Park quick on the attack from the kick off and as John Ward ran through he was pulled down in the box and a penalty was awarded which he put in the back of the net 1-0 . From the kick off Castleisland passed the ball around working the ball up the pitch and from a corner which should have been cleared dropped to one of their players who put it in the back of the net 1-1.
This was the hardest game so far this season with a strong physical Castleisland team but Park continued to pass the ball around and Shane Jordan in midfield clearing ball after ball slots a ball through to John Ward who rounded a couple of players but was once again pulled down in the box and made no mistake in slotting the ball past the keeper to make it 2-1 the Park. Jamel rounds a couple of players out on the wing puts it in to Conor who shoots but the ball goes across the front of the goal and Jack running in was unable to get a foot on it and goes wide. HT 2-1.
Straight from the start of the second half Castleisland piled on the pressure and bringing the ball down the centre of the pitch and hit the back of the net 2-2. The game went back and forward with Aaron making a great save and then David Oba heading the ball off the line James O’Connor clearing ball after ball from the back, with a ball from a pass down the wing the Castleisland forward took a terrific shot into the top corner of the net giving Aaron no chance of saving it to take the lead 2-3. James takes a free kick and with the ball over the top of the backs John Ward was able to run on and slot the ball past the keeper for his hatrick to make it 3-3 Shane and James were tireless in defence and midfield clearing the ball upfield as time was running out it looked like a draw was on the cards but with a mistaken pass in front of the goal instead of clearing it the castleisland forward made no mistake in putting it in the back of the net to make the final score 3-4 .
