We got back to winning ways today and stayed joint top of the table after a home win over Listowel Celtic . This was a great result when you must consider that 9 of the starting eleven are Under 17 this season . We started the brighter and could have been ahead from a Dwyer Tobin effort only for a great reaction save from the Listowel Keeper . The remainder of the first half saw up dominate the possession stakes without creating any clear chances on goal . Listowel had a few half chances on goal but stand in keeper Tommy Lynch held onto everything that came his way .
The second half was on three minutes old when Alberto Anticoli fired a low shot from the corner of the box into the far corner of the net for great opening goal . Listowel could have been level midway through the half only for a point blank save from Tommy Lynch . As the half wore on we had numerous chances to put the game to bed but Fergal Ryan , Emanuel Abubakar and Ryan Dolan were all of target . The killer goal finally came in the 86th minute after good build up work from Paddy Collins and Ryan Dolan saw Fergal Ryan find the net and minutes later he rounded of a good performance with a well taken solo goal . Best for us were Ferdia o Brien , Darcy o Sullivan , Tommy Lynch ,Gearoid Savage, Aaron o Keefe and Alberto Anticoli . Man of the match Nathan o Leary .
