On Thursday morning our 11a team hosted our neighbours Kingdom Boys in what proved to be a hard and close game. The coaches have asked this team to play in a way that will progress the players as they get older with their all round abilities. As this system is new to the lads it resulted in some misplaced passes that put us under pressure at times and the pressure told when we went a goal down before half time.

Credit goes to the team as they stuck with the way we play and the second half saw a big improvement when the passes got sharper and we focused more on our own jobs, we were unlucky with a peno not to be level but we still kept going.

Hard work and that never give up attitude saw us level when James Sheehan hit the net. It was not one of those games when everything went the way we would like but again the players worked very hard and got their draw.

Conor as always was great in goal with Ali, Conor, Patrick, Aaron, Seb, Alfie, James S, James R, Poga and Brian doing really well with Eoghan getting player of the game for his great effort.

Thanks to Kingdom Boys for the game.

We have two games Saturday for the 1st and 2nd teams at home at 10:30am v Listowel Celtic and players are asked to be at the club house at 9:50am.
