We played Killarney Celtic in the Kerry cup semi final. We had lost twice before to them but we knew we had the beating of them.

They took an early lead through an awkward ball down the left and from that moment on we more than matched them all over the pitch. The first half was full of fouls committed by the visitors while we made attack after attack, without really punishing the opposition.

Colin Walsh, Liam Tobin, Greg Scanlon and Rhys Keane really made life difficult for Killarney in the first half. During the second half we pushed forward and defended well but just couldn’t get the goal we craved to kick start the fight back.

Gavin Doddy made one top class save to keep our hopes alive. Cian Purcell Daragh Moriarty and Kieron O Sullivan were immense in defence all game while Luke Chester was very work man like in the central midfield spot. Nathan Gleeson, Mervyn Shalamba, Elliot Lynch and Junior made an immediate impact and we continued to play the better football without taking the chances we created.

Overall We are very proud of the performance and can really look forward with positivity about next season. Conor O Sullivan and Gavin Burrows had  fantastic seasons respectivally and were unlucky not to feature in todays game.

Well done lads for all your work this season.
