A fine all round display by the lads against a big physical Killorglin. After a period of good pressure we were awarded a penalty for a hand ball. Up stepped David ‘pecker’ Doyle to calmly stick the ball into the side netting ,the 1st goal of what turn out to be a hat-trick. Perfect peno and a perfect start.
With Mark Sheehan and Ryan ‘chucky’ Carroll , we really started to dominate possession and created good scoring chances for Ger Myles and Jesse o Sullivan and limiting them to a couple of half chances but Tommy Moriarty was on hand to keep them a bay.  But at half it remained 1-0 and good for it.

The second half started with us playing some lovely 1 and 2 touch passing under a lot of pressure and their pressure almost paid off when they hit the cross-bar from a good header from a corner. Spurred on by hitting the bar they started to come at us and they got another corner and Frankie o Conor cleared off the line. And Tommy pulled off a great save low to his left but not just a great save a vital save as it kept us in the lead going into the last 15 mins.  But we composed ourselves and got on the ball and the second came through pecker . He had a shot from the edge of the area and the keeper did well to parry but pecks was quickest to react and was on hand to slot it home. His 3rd goal was the goal of the game and it was a beauty .A crisp left foot low drive a cross the keeper at full stretch text book. Best on the day for us was pecker,  Chucky , Mark Sheehan and Fonz.  Man of the match was pecker it’s hard to argue with a hat trick.  Into the next round and I can’t ask for any more than that. Match report R.Powell .
