The Park was a hive of activity again on Saturday with our U11A’s and U12A’s both playing and as usual the Academy in full swing.

Our U6/7’s and 8’s were well represented with over 50 young lads enjoying the training in the sunshine. Liam O Connell, Kyle McKenna, Oliver Lata and Jamie McCarthy (with Suarez on his jersey, no biting allowed Jamie) were all in flying form, while Leo Keane, Ainle Foley and Andrew Kerins gave their all during the games at the end.

The U8’s trained ahead of their trip to Listowel Celtic’s famous end of season blitz next Sunday with Noah Townsend, Obinna Twasayi, Sean Moynihan and Brian O Donnell all training hard and showing great skills with Brian in particular in great form after witnessing Man United winning the Premiership during the week.

The 9’s are also heading to Listowel next weekend but on Bank-Holiday Monday instead. Josh Lynch, Samuel Aladesaunsi, Darragh Murphy and Fiachra O Connor cannot wait to be let loose in Listowel.

The 10’s enjoyed the blitz in Camp with a bus load making the trip West, thanks to all in Camp for the hospitality. A report will be up on the website shortly.

Next Saturday 4th the Academy is on for under 6’s only (born 2007) from 2 – 3.30 while the U7 and 8’s will travel to Listowel for the Blitz from 12pm – 3pm on Sunday. The U9’s travel to Listowel on Monday, blitz from 11am – 2pm, bus leaving from the Park at 10.15, texts have gone out with info. A great day is expected with teams from Cork, Limerick and Kildare as well as the Kerry teams present.

The club is hosting an FAI summer camp from July 8th – 12th with a keeper camp from 23rd – 25th of July also. Full details on www.summersoccerschools.ie, a great chance to brush-up on those all important skills ahead of the new season and great value too.

Well done to the U11A team who lost narrowly to Killarney Celtic in the Cup semi-finals on Saturday, you’ll have your day yet !

Congrats to the U14A’s who lifted the Division 1 title in Killarney, great progress has been made with this group of players thanks to the hard work on the training field with Padraig ‘Pepe’ Killeen, Adrian ‘Fergie’ Quirke and John ‘Jose’ Dillane.

The U12A’s also deserve great praise after securing a play-off against Killarney Celtic after a thriller against Killorglin, we wish Poga, Jack and all the squad the best of luck on Saturday.
