ACADEMY NEWS

The Park was a hive of activity last Saturday with National cup games, the 11s travelling out to Listowel & our Academy U9’s also travelling out to the banks of the Feale. We brought 30 boys out there & fair dues to Celtic they had room for 6 teams of Park players between the 2 age groups. As usual with the Celtic boys the games were highly competitive but great fun with everyone having gained a lot of experience. Among the goal scorers were Danny Jeffers, both the O Connors brothers Sean & Kieran, Ben O Brien, Cillian Murphy & Josh Connolly who managed to find the net 4 times in one game. At the other end of the field Edward Sheehy, Jack Kearney, Sami & Josh Lynch played fantastic while the move of the day saw 6 different boys involved in a passing move with Darragh O Connor playing a killer ball to Fionan Egan who’s finish would have looked good on Match of the Day. Conor Kerins, Adam Murphy, Mathew Higgins & Conor Kirby covered every inch of the pitch. Well done to all the boys that played. There are games being arranged at the moment for the other ages groups, texts will go out in the coming weeks. see you all next Saturday same time same place.
