We had a very wintry day in Christy Leahy Park last Saturday but nevertheless a crowd of very tough young lads turned up for both sessions despite the cold. In the younger group Brayden Pierce scored a beauty while Leo Keane made a fantastic reaction save to stop a certain goal. Jack Slattery hit the net 3 times for a fine hat trick & Peter Doyle & Paddy McMahon had a right battle in midfield. The older lads had a mini-blitz between the U9s & 10s, with Danny Hennessy & Martin Lucko defending superbly & John O Connor, Mark Sheehan & Adam Murphy spraying passes around the pitch like pros. Adam Walker, Cian Brosnan & Evan Foley also played their hearts out while Niall Heaton threw himself full stretch into the path of a goal bound shot to prevent a certain goal.
The U9s travel to Killarney Celtic next Saturday with a 2 o clock K.O, a bus will leave the Park at 1, don’t forget to text Dave before 6 on Wednesday to secure a seat. while Camp United visit us to take on the U10s at 3.45 on the all-weather. See you all next week & keep up the practice at home.
