Another busy day in Christy Leahy Park saw a big turn-out from the younger lads. Unfortunately Asdee had to cancel late in the week but they’re on the way next Saturday with Listowel Celtic the Saturday after, so plenty of action to follow. Tomas Kennedy, Oisin Cronin, Patrick Purcell, Paddy McMahon & Kyle McKenna are flying in training & cant wait until next weeks challenge games.
The 9’s had a great day with Listowel Celtic visiting us with Brian Godfrey bringing 3 teams in from the Feale. Each team played 3 games each with great skills on show from both teams with the emphasis on fun.
Ben O Brien hit the net twice in the 1st game, Cillian Lynch saved a goal bound shot, Conor Kerins gave a Roy Keane like performance, Enda Cahill chipped in a beauty & Fionan Egan scored one Rooney would be proud of, while Dylan McKenna, Danny Hennessy & Lasha Bekauri were fantastic in defence. Well done to all our 9’s who played so well. The sun shone down like a summers day & over 70 boys went home with a smile on their face & with a bit of colour in their cheeks !!
The 10’s enjoyed a trip to Killarney Celtic with 45 Park boys having a mini-blitz against the home side. As always with Celtic fun was the winner on Saturday as Mary & Co. roll out the red carpet for us, thanks to all players, coaches, supporters, Moms & Dads for travelling out, once again ye were fine ambassadors for the club. Training again next week, see you then.
