Asdee Rovers paid a visit to Christy Leahy Park on Saturday with their under 8’s & while we had much larger numbers we still managed to give everyone a game against the North Kerry visitors. Ryan McMahon, Samuel Barrero, Mark Lynch, Sam Slattery & Brayden Pierce played some lovely football against the older Asdee players, while Jamie Williams, Michael Tansley, Alex McGrath & Sean Toumey were more than a match for the opposition passing the ball on the deck & scoring some fine goals. The under 6/7 & 8’s have another busy day next Saturday with the visit of Listowel Celtic to Tralee, K.O 2 o clock.
The U9’s & 10’s played each other in 3 challenge games on Saturday with over 60 young men getting the chance to take on their club mates with the 10’s coming out on top in 2 games but the 9’s winning a thriller on the all weather by a single goal. Jordan Kissane hit a hatrick but at the other end Ruairi O Connell saved the day time & again. Andrew Wallace ran the midfield for the 9’s on the main pitch but Niall Garvey never gave up the battle, a great run out for all involved. The 9’s have a visit from Killarney Celtic to look forward to while the 10’s will travel to Camp on Saturday 27th to take part in their Blitz from 10 – 1, texts going out shortly with details.
