It was a busy weekend for the club with the Academy on Saturday & the St Patrick’s day parade on Sunday.
The Academy as usual was a hive of activity with all age groups training & playing small sided games in preparation for games in the next few weeks. The U9’s will host Killarney Celtic on Saturday the 6th April while the 10’s will travel out to play the Celtic 10’s on the same day. The younger lads also have games coming up shortly. Thanks to all the coaches for their commitment to the cause with their attendance at the Academy on a Bank-holiday weekend. Keep up the good work boys !

The St. Patrick’s Day parade was as usual a bright & noisy affair with a large group of Academy & Schoolboy players in attendance. Once again the penalty shoot-out was a big success with all Park marchers getting the chance to beat our two keepers Seb & Greg as well as a good few of the audience ! We had Mayor Johnny Wall rolling back the years not only taking 2 penos but also standing in for one as well, KDL ref Simon Draghici hit the net & was sent off after his peno for removing his top after scoring, Mary Fitzmaurice had the added pressure of a RTE cameraman & her sons cheering her on for her peno but in true GAA fashion Mary took her point !!
A few well know sports people around Tralee opted-out of the penos, never mind we can keep an eye out for you next year. A huge thanks to all the Park players, coaches, committee members & parents/supporters who marched with us, everyone working together make the club as strong as it is, well done.
