On Saturday 10th March, Killarney Celtic kindly welcomed us for a friendly match.
First of all, the coaches would like to say that everyone played their part in a very thrilling and exciting game. We were all very impressed by the effort put in by all the team as a whole. All the players got a game, some playing in different positions. At one stage it looked like we had eleven strikers in the Killarney’s Celtic box.
We had four goal scorers on the day. Jamie Williams, Odhran Ferris, Alex McGrath and Sean Moynihan were the players with the golden boots.
Many players were very impressive on the day. Odhran, Sean Twomey, Rory, Jamie and Ewan all did excellent up front. In midfield, Alex, Sean Twomey, Michael, Venice, Darragh, Darren all showed strength and skill. In defence, Venice and Obina were both very dominent, backed up by Killian who had an outstanding game showing great reading of the game and who hit some of the best passes seen all day. They were ably backed up by Kyle and James.
Man of the match awards go to Killian, Obina, Venice, Alex, Sean Twomey, Odhran.
Well done to everyone on the day and hope that you all enjoyed the day. We would like to thank all the parents for acting as both chauffeurs and supporters.
