The Senior A season ended with a defeat to Killarney Celtic in the League Cup semi final . Missing numerous players due to players taking a well deserved holiday break the team that played showed why we have a great club as they never stopped trying till the final whistle .
After falling behind early in the game we managed to get back level mid wat through the half thanks to Mark o Sullivan . How ever we conceeded two more just before half time . Th esecond half saw us throw everything forward but was always going to be though when chasing a two goal leed . Killarney fifnashed the scoring with 20 minutes to go with the goal of the nigth . Well done to Adam o Rourke who made his Senior A debut . Best for us were Wayne Guthrie , David Conway and Fiachra Dunne .
After the match Chairman Colm McLoughlin thank the players for their great efforts through out a long season which saw us win the Greyhound Bar KO Cup , reach the Premier A and Munster League Champions Trophy Finals and make it to the last 16 of the FAI Junior Cup . He also thank Tommy Naughton for his dedication over the past three seasons , which included our long wait to win the Premier League title last season after a ten year gap , as he is now stepping down as Manager .
