Play in very hot conditions our lads put in a great display . The heat was so much that the supporters on the side line were struggling so how the players managed to run around is great credit to them . Shanakill on the other hand had one eye on next weeks Tommy Healy Final which might have distracted them slightly . How ever the possession and chances we created were fantastic and we fully deserved to win the match .
The scoring started after only 18 minutes when a fantastic one-two between Antony Murphy and Wayne Guthrie saw Wayne put through one on one with the keeper and he unselfishly rolled the ball passed him for Antony Murphy to finish into the empty net . Two minutes later it was 2-0 when David Conway scored from the penalty spot after Mike Conway was taken down in the box . Mark o Sullivan made it three nil just before half time when a Ryan Downey corner was headed towards goal by Wayne Guthrie but was cleared of the line but Mark reacted quickest to put the ball into the net .
The second half continue in the same way as the first finished when after six minutes Antony Murphy was set up again by Wayne Guthrie to score his second , and with in ten minutes Antony grabbed his hat trick thanks to fine work from Mike Conway . The Jamie Kelly made two fantastic one on one saves to deny Shanakill getting on the scorsheetand to maintain another clean sheet for him . Mike Conway then nearly got on the score sheet when his right footed rocket from 20 yards hit the crossbar and saw the goal post lift of the ground from the power of the shot . The scoring was finished in the 65th minute with Wayne Guthrie scored his first after being the creator for three goals to finished of a great Man of the match display . Moments after this the final whistle was blown . So into another semi final where we will face Killarney Celtic next Sunday in Mounthawk Park at 1.30pm .
