We made it to our third Greyhound Bar Ko Cup final in a row after a comprehensive victory over Killarney Athletic . This victory came due to a fantastic team display of ball control and discipline .
After a very even enough start between the teams Con Barrett gave us the lead on the half hour mark when he headed home a Ryan Downey corner . Athletic responded straight away and were awarded a penalty which they put wide even though our keeper Jamie Kelly went the correct way and seemed to have it covered . Just before the break we doubled the lead when David Rogers curled a fantastic shot to the bottom of the corner from the edge of the box .
The Second half saw us keep the ball and easily see out the match without letting Athletic get any chances to get back into the match . Antony Murphy should have made it three on the hour mark but he pulled his shot wide . But in the 70th minutes Mike Conway made no mistake when he calmly finished from close rage to give us a 3-0 lead . The Final minutes saw us keep ball and kill the game off and were unlucky not to add a fourth when David Courtney and Jesse o Sullivan came close . We now await to see who will be in the final with us whither it be Tralee Dyanmos, Skelliga Fc or Mastergeeha . Date and time yet to be confirmed .
