Tommy Healy Cup Semi-Final Replay
A fantastic win by the C team sees the club reach its 8th Final in this season’s Kerry District League . In a game played with a very strong wind blowing straight down the pitch it was always going to be a game off two halves.
The first half saw us dominate as we played with the strong wind. Two goals from Graham o Leary and one from David Doyle gave us a 3-0 lead at the break. However in the second half it was a total different game with our defence being put under huge pressure which they contained brilliantly. Castlemaine pulled 2 goals back mid way through the half and when we went down to 10 men the last 15 minutes were always going to be a struggle.
But credit must be given for the courage that was shown in the remaining minutes. Against all odds we held on for the victory and the reward for reaching the final is fully deserved for this team.
