Tommy Healy Cup Semi-Final
The C teams run in the competition continues after a match that saw us play with great heart and never say die attitude. With only ten players showing up it was always going to be a battle against a strong Castlemaine side. The first half saw us play against the breeze and even though we created a few chances we went in 2-0 at the break.
The second half how ever was all park. With 20 minutes remaining Aidan O Sullivan made it 2-1 from the penalty Spot. then we found an 11th player in Pa Byrne who is only 16 making his senior debut. This seem to sour the team on and with ten minutes remaining we were level after David Doyle finished with a pile driver from 12 yards. Two minutes later we were ahead when Aaron Eager Moriarty calmly slotted the ball passed the advancing keeper. How ever we were unable to keep this lead as Castlemaine leveled with a free kick in the 88th minute.
So its a replay next week with the day and time to be confirmed. Well done to all those who showed and showed great pride in wearing the Park jersey.
