Bridge United 0-6 St Brendan’s Park
We advance to the next round off the Munster Junior Cup with an outstanding win away in Clare. This is one off our biggest winning margins ever outside the county.
After a tough opening quarter we began to dominate the match. Fergal Maunsell opened the scoring after 19 Min’s with a well struck volley from a Pa McCarthy cross. Pa McCarthy then made it 2-0 after 38 minutes when he rounded the last defender and finished with his left foot to the bottom corner. Two minutes before the break it was 3-0 when Wayne Conway ran onto a ball and looped it over the keeper.
The Second half started and within two minutes it was 4-0 thanks too David Courtney. Fergal Maunsell then added his second before Pa McCarthy finished the scoring in the 87th minute. This was an all round performance and everyone left Co.Clare very happy. We also also want to thank everyone who travelled to support us on the day.
