FAI Junior Cup 4th Round
The Senior A team advanced to the last 64 of the FAI Junior cup with a hard 1-0 win at home to Ennis Town Rock. This wasnt a great overall performance but with the Munster Final in 6 days time maybe players might have had an eye on that .
The game started very well after a great run from Martin Bowler he set up David Courtney who volleyed home for a great opening goal after just 2 minutes. We could have extended the lead but chances from Adrian Quirke and Mike Conway were all well saved. Jamie Kelly in goals was called into action a few time was more than comfortable when needed.
The second half saw Ennis throw everything at us for the equalizer but due to hard defending and excellent goalkeeping we kept them out whilst still creating chances on the counter attack. The game finished 1-0 but everyone knows the performance must be better if we are to go any further.
All Thoughts now turn to Saturdays Munster final. Dont Forget to get your name down for a seat on the bus before this Wednesday.
