The senior A team suffered their second league defeat off the season away to listowel this morning . After starting brightly we took the lead after 13 minutes thanks to a calm finish from David Clifford from a fantastic pass from Mike Conway . We seemed totally in control off this game until the 25th minute when Ryan Downey handled the ball on the line and received a straight red card . Listowel scored the penalty and then took the lead 3 minutes later .
The second half saw us try to get the equalizer but were hit on the counter attack to make it 3-1 . From our point off view the effort shown just wasnt what is expected by our club today . Too many individual mistakes plus lack off effort and possession was the main reason why we lost today . Two final goals in the remaining twenty minutes finished the game off . The team need to regroup quickly with another league game next week and the FAI Junior cup match the week after .
