Listowel went ahead on 7 minutes when Mark o Sullivan passed it straight across the box to Brian Murphy and he tapped it in. We missed a penalty through David Magee before Sean Dukes scored a minute to go in the half.
Listowel got a penalty when Mark o Sullivan clattered into some one in the box. Paudie Quinn had it save from James Kelly with a good save low to his right. Then from the resulting corner we broke and Gearoid Savage hit the post and James o Sullivan smashed it in that was our two full back hitting them on the break.
From 2-1 they went up 4-2 with all goals coming from set plays .Fergal Maunsell pulled it back to 4-3 and we nearly equalised when a Maunsell corner was cleared off the line but it wasn’t to be.
All in all when you combine sloppy defending and missed chances you are putting yourself at a serious disadvantage.
