The Football Association of Ireland in conjunction with the ‘Local and Community Development section of The Department of the Environment’ and ‘People with Disabilities Ireland’ have recently launched the Football For All Club Programme.
This programme works with clubs to help them become more inclusive to children aged 6 – 14 of any ability. Football For All teams in a network of clubs nationwide will embrace diversity and promote the true meaning of
‘Football For All’
FAI Football For All National Coordinator Oisin Jordan says, “This new programme will ensure the inclusion of children of all abilities in the football community in Ireland. Football For All clubs are breaking down barriers by becoming inclusive to all, guaranteeing that all children regardless of ability will in the future will have the same opportunity to play football for their local club”.
Training is at St Brendans Park FC (Christy Leahy Park in Cahermoneen, Tralee) on the Astroturf pitch on Mondays from 4.30pm – 5.30pm (starting December 5th 2011)
