Huge turnout for first session of 2012.
On a cool, blustery and dry January afternoon we had a fantastic turnout by our boys. Spirits were very high after Christmas as the lads who got to training early practiced their headers against Rob in goals. Andrew and Luke were the only ones able to get a few past him.
We started off with some sharks and fishes with Mervyn showing very silky skills to win one of the rounds. Andrew pushed him all the way so well done to both lads.
After that we did some dribbling skills which Reese, Darragh, John, Richard and Kieran excelled at. These skills weren’t so easy to master so plenty of practice during the week is needed to keep improving.
Team 2 then won the first of a couple of game of net tennis where footballs went everywhere with Richard from Team 2 even going in Team 1’s half. It wasn’t spotted by the ref however so Team 2 got away with it 🙂 Team 1 stormed back quickly to win the second game. A draw overall being a fair result.
We then went into our 6-a-side games, in which there was plenty of energy. Gavin, Luke, Darragh, Destiny, Kieran K, Karl, Jonathan and Brian were just some of those to show some class on the ball.
