On Wednesday last our first team played Kingdom Boys for the 2nd time this season which saw a much improved result from our boys. After the last game which saw us host Kingdom Boys the game ended with 1 goal each in a match that saw us play well below our best.
However in this 2nd game we started very well in all areas of the pitch and two 1st half goals decided the game. Brian and Padraig scored the goals which they both finished very well, between these two they have scored 8 goals in 2 games.
The 2nd half saw Kingdom Boys come at us for long periods but our defence was up to the challenge. As in the 1st half we had a few good attempts on goal, that could of had us a few more goals in front but it was not to be.
We had an good all round game and those that stood out were Aaron, James R, James S, Alfie, Sebastian, Eoghan and Conor in goals. Man of the match on the day with a rock solid game at the heart of the defence was Conor Myers.
Thanks to Kingdom Boys for the game and again it was great to see the big number of parents and Park supporters at the game.
No training Saturday as its Paddy’s Day, we will see you all Wednesday again.
