In Clare today we saw our U-12A team progress to the next round of the National Cup with a hard-earned win over Corbally.

The first half of the match was very close as the sides were level at nil all at half time, Corbally did shade this period slightly as well. The conditions on the day did not suit our style of play however credit to all our boys as we stuck with them and matched their attitude and commitment.

The second half was much better from our point of view as we started to grab the game, Conner H in goals was very solid and he started a lot of plays from the back, the back 4 of James S, Conor M, Craig, and Keeven were strong never leaving our goals open.

We did at times leave gaps in the midfield but the boys dug deep and started to dominate, Padraig and JR were excellent, and James R, and Seb caused them lots of problems out wide. Alfie and Leon played up front and they kept the tempo high working very hard.

Our 1st goal was scored by James R, and Padraig and Ali got the other two. The players that came off the bench and did the same hard work as the others were Aaron, Brian, Ali, Patrick, and Mervin.

All the players very excellent with one player standing  out and receiving the man of the match this was Padraig McCannon.

During the whole trip the conduct of the boys was very good and they represented the club very well.

Thanks to all parents that traveled with us and added to the trip, and to Tommy and Fergal who gave a great help especially with the great work with our keeper Conor Hayes.

We travel to Limerick next to play Annacotty.
