1st Half. The result in some ways dose not reflect the effort put in by the squad on the day. For the first fifteen minuets we controlled the game and had Killarney on the back foot. With Rhys and Nathan causing all sorts of problems on the wings for Killarney and Conor putting them under pressure with his running through the middle it was a shame we didn`t take the chances that came our way. If we had, the end result could have been so different.
We found ourselves 0 – 2 at halftime but felt this was not a fair reflection of the game. A good start in the second and we would be back in the game. Tide was introduced for Andrew at halftime.
2nd Half. We got the start we needed with a fine goal from Man of the Match Conor O’ Sullivan. We were now pressing hard for a second goal. Somehow we just could not find the back of Killarneys net. The introduction of Liam and Eoin for Mervyn and Conor gave us fresh legs in midfield and up front.Even with a huge effort been put in by the lads its was Killarney that got the next goal. This gave them a two goal lead which was a tall order for us to over come. Gavin came on at this point for Cian. True to the spirit of the team the lads did not sit back. With us still pushing on for goals Killarney captitilised on us been more focused on getting goals than defending.
