We suffered our first defeat of the season away to LB Rivers in Ballybunion. Having most of the possession for the hour we were unlucky not to turn it into scores. But throughout the game,  we played the ball around with great passing and movement but in fairness to our opponents, they defended stoutly and held out in the end. Full credit to all our squad who played their hearts out all the game and will, no doubt ,have learned an awful lot as a result.

Richie Healy in goals made a few brilliant saves when called upon. Luke Casey and Adam Mc Donagh were excellent in defence. Ray Mc Grath and Damien Hogan controlled midfield with Jack Slattery, Jamie o Shea and Darragh Cunnane upfront unlucky not to have had a handful of goals. But standout player on the day was Odhran Ferris who was on the ball all game and gave it his best for the hour.
