On Saturday our under 13 team had a good win away in Limerick to Granville F.C.

Played in less than perfect conditions due to strong winds this was a tricky test for us. The first half saw a tight game played out as both teams were up for a battle. We had the best chances however and an Alfie Christie long range effort somehow ended in the net. Unlucky for their keeper as the wind did play a part in the goal.

The second half saw us play into the breeze and due to the super effort of all our players we started to dominate the game. All our back four and our keeper Conor Hayes did extremely well to negotiate the severe wind and repelled all that Granville threw at us. James Rusk was excellent also in his defensive midfield role plugging any gaps that appeared in our backline.

Our determination was rewarded twice in the later part of the game with two well taken goals from Leon Shalamba and another from Alfie.

The next round sees us host Nenagh  from Tipperary in Christy Leahy Park in a few weeks.

So for now congratulations to all the players involved and we will be concentrating on the league for the next while.
