On Saturday we hosted Nenagh at Christy Leahy Park. In this game we were unlucky not to progress as luck just was not on our side.
After going one nil behind we were by far the better team for the majority of the game. Having bombarded the opposition we needed a break to secure a goal of our own. We did come very close at times especially when Padraig hit the cross bar with a volley and Colin was very unlucky from close range.
Although we never managed to grab that first goal our players can be very proud of their efforts.
We will as a team learn from this game and we will be stronger from it. We had super displays all over the field, with Padraig, Eoghan, James S, James R, Conor H, and Conor M, standing out from the bunch.
As disappointed as we were after the result we are all very proud of our players and the effort they gave.
So again hats off to all players and we will now focus on the season ahead.
