This game saw the Park have their biggest defeat of the season , Mastergeeha a much physically bigger team than the Park dominated from the start , although they kept them at bay for a while .Dean , James, Pauric and Raul were strong in defence . Mastergeeha mounted an attack and as Duirmuid the keeper came out to the oncoming ball the forward chipped him 1-0. Jake makes a run down the wing but was tackled and from this mastergeeha scored 2-0.Raul clears a ball to Andrew who was barged of the ball and the keeper was slow coming off his line 3-0. Park kept their heads up and Raul passes a ball to Jake who puts it through to Aarron who ran forward and with a terrific shot the ball beat the keeper into the top of the net 3-1. Young john O’Conner had a terrific game upfront and was unlucky not to score , as were Jake and Andrew. Mastergeeha came forward again and with a volley from 20yds made it 4-1.The second half started much the same as first, a shot hits the crossbar back to the forward who makes it 5-1.Seanpasses to Andrew who puts the ball to John he puts a nice ball through to Aarron whose shot goes over the bar. Another mastergeeha attack sees goal no 6-1,James has a shot saved by the keeper, but a counter attack sees goal 7-1 attack after attack sees the ball hit the post and end up in the back of the net 8-1. Although it was a high scoring game Park never gave up and it was a great credit to the players who bothered to turn up. Dave ,Mathew and Jim were very disappointed that of the 17 players who were texted about the game didn’t even have the decency to text back to say they were unavailable and only 10 turned up and only for a younger brother of one of parks players who plays at a younger age group for the park togging off we wouldn’t have been able to field a team.
