This was a clash between Top and Bottom of the table  with the Park lads confident of taking 3 points and Castlemaine out to be the giant killers by taking something from the game and fair play to them thats what they duly did defending with great heart through out the game

1st Half

The park lads dominated from the whistle, passing and moving the ball with great purpose and within 3 mins they were 1- 0 up with a fine move from Alan out of defence to Gearoid on the right with Cian taking the pass on the overlap and with pinpoint accuracy finding Dylan free just outside the box, a fine strike from Dylan beating the keeper into the top corner. It was all park with further half chances from Minors, Kiwi, and Gearoid but unable to hit the net. on the 20 min mark a defensive error from the park let the Castlemaine striker shot to an empty goal to make it 1-1 against the run of play. Despite dominating the play the Park Lads couldnt penetrate the castlemaine defense and created very little scoring oppurtunities up to the half time break.

The park were lucky not to go in 2-1 down at the break when their opponents were denied a good goal from a controversial offside.

2nd Half

The Park started as they finished in the 1st half dominating possession and 10 mins in they were 2-1 up with a fin cross from Dylan headed home by Gearoid. In previos games the park lads would normally close the game out from this position but unfortunately thro good defending from castlemaine and a poor final ball the park Lads could find the the 3rd insurance goal. 7 mins left on the clock and another defensive error from the Park and it was 2-2, the lads threw everything bar the kitchen sink at the Castlemaine defence to the final whistle but to no avail.

A tough game in which we dominated the both halves and disapointing not to take full points but we were lucky to come away with a share of the spoils.not something the bookies would have perdicted but thats football.
