This was a big game for the the park lads to stop the rot after a few defeats, missing a few players it was going to be a tough assigment to get anything from the game especially there last meeting at home versus the Asdee lads ended in a 5 nil defeat.

1st Half

The park lads couldnt have made a worse start, 1 minute in and they were 1 nil down, 5 mins later they were 2 nil down and on the 10 min mark the home team were 3 nil up. The park had plenty of chances of their own and were slow to pull the trigger in front of goal, but they settled into the game and started to get control of midfield. 20mins in they were rewarded with a fine strike started from midfield from Kiwi who found Joseph in space who laid the ball off to Ruairi in front of goal, the asdee defender getting a block on the ball which fell perfectly to Jack who hammered the ball home, 3-1 and it was game on with the park lads starting to build a bit of confidence, but the Asdee forward line were always a threat and they proved so with a fine strike before halftime to make it 4-1.

The game looked out of sight for the Park lads although they had been playing some nice football in the latter part of the is half.

The halftime break was badly needed to rally the troops and with both a great team talk from the management team and especially the players themselves the lads were fired up to give it a titanic performance in the 2nd half to try  and get something from the game and by god did they deliver in abundance.

2nd Half

The park started with a purpose and from the Kick off were close to pulling a goal back with a fine strike from Joseph from weel outside the box to just shave the left hand post. It was all park, Jacob was delivering penetrating corner kicks and it was inevitable a goal was on the cards, 5 mins in Jack latched on to a another fine corner from jacob to bundle the ball over the line 4-2 and the confidence in the Park lads was evident and straight from the restart a great ball over the top from Evan to Joseph who controlled and laid off to Ruairi and with fine lob over the keeper made it 4-3 and it was definetely game on!

The next 20 min period was dominated by the Park with chances  from Joseph, Kiwi and Evan but they couldnt seem to find the equaliser, Asdee were resilient and had a few chances of their own, but the park were passing and moving the ball with great authority and looked the likely to score the next goal with Asdee trying to hold on to the final whistle. 5 mins to go and the Park got a free on the left of midfield the ball was cleared out to the onwaiting Kiwi who drilled the ball low into  the left corner past the Asdee keeper 4-4 all and the Park sensed a victory was on hand as the Asdee players seemed shell shocked, 3 mins later and another fine corner from Jacob, a strike from Kiwi and Jack was at hand to hit the net from the rebound. 5-4 at the final whistle, who could have believed it was possible.
