Several missed chances in the first half eventually proved costly for the Park lads who suffered their first league defeat of the season. In ideal conditions, the Park opened strongly and were causing the Killorglin back four lots of problems with lots of slick passing and good movement. This was rewarded on 9 minutes when a Cian Brosnan free kick was parried by the Killorglin keeper into the path of Darragh Caplis who expertly finished to the back of the net. Killorglin hit back strongly however and were level within 5 minutes when a well worked move down their level resulted in a neat header squeezing inside the post.

The second half opened with both sides probing for the lead. However, 10 minutes in, a speculative effort found the back of the Park net and gave Killorglin a 2-1 lead. Following the goal, Killorglin were the stronger side and made the game safe with a 3rd goal towards the end of the game.
So a disappointing afternoon for the Park lads, but no doubt they will bounce back from this result and will look to resume their excellent league form in the New Year.
