Park advance to round two and also claim the bragging rights over their neighbours in this local derby. The opening half saw Park control possession with JR Tshikato, Poga McCannon and Leon Shalamba a constant threat going forward . Park deservedly took the lead on sixteen minutes with an Alfie Christie special from twenty five yards into the v of the goals that no keeper was saving.
Parks JR raiding down the right whipped in a great cross only to see his team mate Sean McGrath head over from two yards. Dynamos were a threat on the counter with Sean Kennedy, Brian O’Dowd. Dynamos shocked the Park scoring two goals in a eight minute spell thru good play by Leo Ghaxia setting up Sean Kennedy for the first of his brace just inside the square and he fired low into the bottom right and it was Kennedy again played in down the right by Sony Rumani and his strike was unstoppable a great goal. Dynamos lead 2 v 1 at the break.
Park reacted at half time making two changes introducing Conor Myers and Mervin Shalamba and making a couple of positional changes and this had the desired effect as Park went on to totally dominate the second half. Parks JR and Leon hit the upright and crossbar minutes into the second half and a Mervin Shalamba strike blocked on the line but it was Parks hot shot Sean McGrath that drew the sides level with a left foot strike from an acute angle finding the inside of the far post.
Park was now in total control with wave after wave of attack and Leon Shalamba shot Park into the lead with twenty minutes remaining on the clock. Park introduced Paddy O’Rourke and Sebastian Vasiu down the left and it was Seb that set up Sean McGrath for his second to give Park breathing space and it was Leon Shalamba that scored Parks fifth killing off any hope dynamos might have for a fight back.
Best for Park; James Rusk (Capt.) James Sheehan, Poga McCannon, Sean McGrath, Leon Shalamba
Man of Match; Mervin Shalamba & JR Tshikato
