On a cold windy morning the game got under way with Dylan O’Shea running through puts a ball into Conor Higgins who passes to Nemanja who is tackled and ball goes out for a throw .Park pressed again against the wind and Conor Higgins puts a lovely ball through to Conor O’Brien but the ball goes wide for a goal kick. Killorglin get a free kick about five yards outside the box but the ball drops in front of the keeper and he is unable to get a hand to it and the Killorglin player seizes the opportunity and puts it in the back of the net to make it 0-1.
Park come back on the attack and the keeper makes a save from Conor Higgins. In another attack sees Dylan O’Shea take the ball down the wing and cross it in to Conor Higgins who shoots and the ball goes high over the hands of the keeper 1-1. the game progressed from end to end with the Park defenders Dean ,James John and Jack clearing everything that came their way . Aaron makes a great save from the Killorglin forward and puts the ball out for a corner. Dylan puts a ball through to Conor Higgins who slips the ball through to Conor O’Brien but his shot is saved by the keeper .
Another attack by the Park sees Dean put the ball through to Nemanja who slips the ball across the goal to Conor O’Brien who strikes it first time with his left foot into the back of the net to make it 2-1 the Park just before half time. Second half gets under way with the Park on the attack Nemanja puts a ball to Jamal who’s shot is saved by the keeper .Josh puts a ball through to Nemanja but his shot is put out for a corner which Conor takes and Shane’s header is cleared off the line ,the ball is then put back in and Shane passes to Conor who puts the ball over the bar. James takes a free kick outside the box and the keeper makes a good save. The ball comes into the Park penalty area and Dylan tackles the player but the referee gives a penalty , the Killorglin player steps up to take it and Aaron makes a brilliant save and the ball comes back out and once again Aaron makes a great save to deny Killorglin an equalizer.
Park are now in control of the game and their defenders are clearing everything James takes another free kick and once again their keeper makes a save the ball is then kicked out high over the heads of the Park players and the forward runs through and manages to put it passed Aaron into the net to make it 2-2 Although Park had most of the possession in the second half they did not take advantage of the wind and could have had another couple of goals if they had. Josh puts the ball through to Conor who crosses it into Shane who shoots but the keeper puts it out for a corner.
With time nearly up and a draw looking on the cards Conor takes a corner and there is a scramble in the box with Killorglin trying to clear their lines but the ball falls to Jack and with a powerful left footed shot hits the back of the net to make the final score 3-2 the Park. This was a brilliant team performance against a strong Killorglin A team, and for the most we played as a strong unit passing and clearing the ball first time and every player played his part in the game which gave us the result we deserved.
