Park clinched their place in the Kerry Cup final with a fine win away to Killarney Athletic this evening. The lads controlled the game from the off and only a brilliant save from Athletic keeper Darragh Curran after a great strike by James Duggan kept the match scoreless after 15 minutes . Park kept possession of the ball very well and eventually their patience paid off when Paddy Collins seized on a mistake from the Athletic defence and lobbed the keeper from 25 yards . Five minutes later a good move between Sean Dukes,Paddy Collins and Ryan Dolan freed Jesse Stafford Lacey to make it 2-0 with a clinical finish .Just before half time James Duggan produced a great finish in the box to put the lads three up and out of sight .

The second half followed the same pattern and although Athletic worked tirelessly the lads kept possession of the football and should really have added to their tally. One player who deserves special mention for an outstanding midfield display was Ferdia O ‘Brien who came in for Shane McLoughlin and gave a masterly performance of linking the play. With the score 3-0 at the final whistle the lads go into the Cup final where they meet either Killarney Celtic B or Park B .We wish the Park lads well on Thursday in their semi-final. This game was also a league fixture and the win meant that the team were undefeated throughout the campaign.

Best wishes from all the squad to Shane McLoughlin who will represent Ireland in a 4 team tournament involving Germany,Belgium and Romania starting on Sunday . It is a well deserved reward for Shane and his family.
