The game kicked off at Christy Leahy Park with the Park on the attack , Jamal passes to John on to Conor O’Brien but his shot is saved by the keeper. Park get a throw and Mike crosses the ball to Conor Higgins but the ball is cleared over the top of the Park players and the Killarney forward slots the ball past the keeper into the net 0-1 Killarney. Park come back on the attack and force a corner which Conor O’Brien takes he puts the ball into the six yard box Jamal he passes to John who puts it in the net 1-1 . Straight from the kickoff Killarney come forward and they pass the ball out the wing they then cross the ball inside and the forward shoots it hits the inside of post and into the net 1-2 . Again Killarney press forward and a defensive error by the Park backs see the score again 1-3. Aaron puts a ball through to John he is pulled down on the edge of the box Conor O’Brien takes it but the keeper saves. Once again park go forward Aaron puts the ball through to John but as he shoots he slips and the keeper saves. Killarney press forward again and they stroll through Park midfield and another shot on goal sees them hit the back of the net 1-4 . Park go on the attack Ben puts a ball through to Jamal who passes to Aaron but his shot is saved. Killarney come back on the attack and the Park defence fail to clear and once again are punished with a goal1-5.
The game is going pear shaped for the Park against a bigger more physical Killarney side when they get the ball in midfield Aaron passes to Daniel who passes to John who waltzes past three players and puts the ball in the net 2-5 . From the kickoff park press again and Aaron slots a ball through to Conor O’Brien who bobs and weaves past the Killarney defence to put the ball in the net 3-5 . But the comeback is short lived as Killarney press forward down the wing and a shot sees it go over the head of the Park keeper into the net 3-6.
The second half see Park have several chances on goal but fail to score ,although they seemed to be dominating the game Killarney built up too much of a first half lead and although they tried they could not hit the back of the net and the game finished 3-6 to Killarney.
