(U16) Nat Cup: 1st Round Emphatic Win for 16’s

The match was close to being forfeited as the Kilbehenny Team just arrived at the kick off time and thankfully the game went a head as this team gave one of their finest performances in the National Cup in a park jersey.

Coming off a crushing league defeat last week the park lads were up this game and what a start, 2mins in Dylan stepped up to smash the ball to the right past the keeper from a goal mouth scramble 1-0 up, This settled the lads and they started to take control of the game in all sectors, Cian and Minors were battling hard in the middle with Kiwi & Deano making great runs down the wings, the park were winning all the 50/50 balls in all areas of the pitch. The passing and moving style of play was superb, with defense of Maciek, Dave, matt and Eoin rock solid throughout, the lads were dominating and it was only a matter of time before more goals came, Dylan got the next aswellon the 16th min from an assist from Deano and he then became the supplier to Simon for the third 3-0 up mid way thru 1 st half and the lads were masterfull up front, a min to the break, simon was brought down in the box & Eoin stepped up to cooly slot the ball past the Kilbehenny keeper. 4-0 at Half time.

2nd half started in the same manner as the 1st with Dylan getting his hatrick 2mins in, 3mins later Simon made it 6-0 with his brace. Thomas and Joe came on upfront with Kevin & shane into midfield, 59 mins in and Cian crowned off a man of the match performance with a fine strike which knocked the last bit of fight out of the away team, it was all park and with a hatrick from Thomas and a goal from Joe the game ended 11-0, an emphatic and deserved win for the park lads.
