The under 17 girls finished off their league campaign with a hard fought win against a tough Kenmare side. With 1 eye on the cup final in a few weeks time, the girls knew they needed to put in a good performance and they did exactly that.
There was a sense that our back line was starting to gel after their 3rd consecutive game together and will be delighted with a well earned clean sheet thanks to some fine saves from Megan Hill. Shannon Carey got the goal late on in the match when it looked like a draw was on the cards and you could tell how much it meant to her as she got booked in the celebrations.
Great performances from Alison O’ Sullivan, Michelle Delaney and Michaela Horan stood out but everyone played their part and we will look forward to the final.
