A good sporting game played on a difficult surface ended with Park deservedly running out comfortable winners . The Fenit keeper gave a terrific display of shot- stopping and pulled off several spectacular saves throughout the game .The unusually long grass slowed the passing of both sides down and probably suited the more direct approach from the home side .

Park went a goal up from a great finish from James Duggan after good work from Dwyer Tobin and the same player made it two when he pounced on a rebound in the Fenit six yard box . A mistake from Ferdia O ‘Brien , the only one he made all day , led to Fenit getting a goal back  just before half time . With Luke Moynihan , Paddy Collins and Fergal Ryan controlling the midfield areas Park went further ahead when Morrough Connolly put in a great cross that Duggie volleyed into the net with his left foot to complete his hat trick . Ryan Dolan and Stephan Okunbour were a constant threat down the right hand side of the pitch and Sean Kelliher gave his usual flawless performance .

The fourth goal came when Sean Dukes produced a fine finish to cap a very impressive personal performance and an own goal from an unfortunate Fenit defender put Park 5-1 ahead . Eoghan O’ Brien in the Fenit goal continued to make outstanding saves and in the last minute of the game  , Fenit were awarded two penalties, the first was well saved by Conor Hurley but in the scramble a second penalty was given and O’Brien himself came up to smash home the spot kick .

Overall a very impressive display of controlled football against a very brave Fenit side who never stopped trying to play .
