This was another epic struggle against our biggest rivals with both sets of players battling tirelessly against each other and the weather conditions did not make for great viewing in the opening half with Celtics main threat coming from set pieces and long-range shots. Park created the best chance of the half with Ivan Parker breaking down the right only to see his shot drag narrowly wide with the Celtic keeper beating.
Park settled better in the second half and took control in midfield with Ryan Carroll and Paddy Collins dictating the play. Parks Cian Sheridan headed the opening goal from a corner in the seventy minute. Celtics Matt Keane battled hard in midfield but having played a league final twenty-four hours earlier he wasn’t the force he should have been and this benefited the Park. With nine minutes to go Park were awarded a penalty when Jesse O’Sullivan was taking down but Sean Ryan failed to convert the spot kick. Park were reduced to ten men when they had a player sent off with five minutes remaining. Sean Ryan made up for his penalty miss when he scored in final minute to hand the league title Park FC.
Best for Park; Cian Kennedy , Cian Sheridan , Paddy Collins,  Adam O’Rourke .
Man of Match; Ryan Carroll.
