League: Park 4-2 Ballyheigue
Park had the lions share of possession over the ninety minutes but were wasteful in the final third. Ballyheigue took a shock lead on twenty minutes when they were awarded a penalty and the spot kick was well dispatched to the bottom corner.
Park equalised just before the break when Roman Laucher fired a thirty yard free kick low into the bottom corner in off the post.
Two minutes into second half a poorly struck shot from twenty yards by the Ballyheigue striker seemed to be covered by the Park keeper but somehow it found the net to restore Ballyheigue’s lead.
Park management rang the changes and this upped the Park’s tempo and it was Jesse O’Sullivan who headed Park’s equaliser. Within two minutes we had the lead when Adam O’ Rourke fired in a twenty yard volley.
Park were dominating now with Cian Sheridan and Roman Laucher the pick of the bunch. Adam O’ Rourke netted our fourth from the penalty spot.
Best for Park were Ryan Downey, Jesse Sullivan and Ger Dillon.
