A great result today against a physically stronger team Castlegregory our lads dug deep and pulled off a great win. On a good park pitch considering the heavy rain, we were one down at half time. Having failed to clear our lines from a corner and in spite of Dylan clearing off the line initially. Our defence did not deal with the second ball and against the run of play Castlegregory scored from close range. We did have a chance to equalise when Dylan was taken down in the box just before half time but their keeper saved the spot kick and Cian was unlucky to hit the post on the rebound.
Second half into the wind we continued to press and with a great team move we equalised after a passing movement starting with the keeper at the back finally arrived at Kiwi on the wing to provide a super cross and a super finish from Mirlind Xhemaili got us back on terms with 13 mins left in the game.
Park pushed on trying to secure a win to take a step closer to securing a league semi-final spot when center back Aaron Roche went on a great run and hit a screamer from 25 yards in the 86th minute to seal a great win.

A great team performance and resources well managed by the management team considering injuries and players involved with Kerry have rounded off a good week for the u17 team.
