We had a great few hours of fun and loads of very exciting and close matches with some excellent performances from our young players against Killarney. The long summer of training is starting to pay off and the players are showing great improvement and are really enjoying their football.
We had great performances from everyone with Shane Griffin, Jonathan Agbaih and Jack Conway standing out.
The sportsmanship shown by both teams is a credit to their clubs and parents as there was not a single cross word between them and only smiles and handshakes all day.
U8 Report ;
Park Fc v Killarney Celtic u8 teams enjoyed a great afternoon of football this Saturday at Christy Leahy Park. In this age group 6 matches were played in a 5v5 format. There was fantastic skill and effort on show from both the Park and Celtic and brilliant goals scored by both teams. The Park players have been training all year and are clearly benefiting from their commitment given the level of football played. Highlights of the day included great goals by Tadgh, Edison and Michael O’Keeffe.
Next weekend on Saturday we travel to Camp FC , players to arrive at Camp by 9.45 for a 10am kick off. Coaches Donagh O’Brien and Mike McCannon.
Note: a big thanks to Killarney Celtic for traveling in and to the Park Fc club officials who were on hand to get the pitches set out and help with coaching and organising a successful day .
