The youths great adventure in this seasons FAI Youth Cup ended on Saturday against Galway Hibernians. Although on the day the team never got the chance to show the quality of football they can play they should be very proud of their achievements in reaching the last eight of a national competition.

Galway Hibernians started much the better and Park Keeper Maciek Morawski was quickly off his line to deny Hibernians from taking the lead. Midway through the half Hibernians took the lead when they intercepted a ball as the Park tried to play from the back to give them a derived lead. Ten Minutes later it was two nil when the away side punished the Park for not clearing their lines from a corner.

Park brought on John O’Brien at half time to try give them more of a scoring in an effort to get back into the game but he never really got the service to create any chances.  Sadly for the home side Hibernians scored twice more in the final twenty five minutes to secure their place in the last four. The Park will now look towards local competitions where they are in the league semi-finals and also in the quarter final of the Jimmy Falvey Memorial Youth Cup.
