A disappointing result today for the Youth team , the whole squad looked tired and heavy-legged throughout the entire game . Without a recognised goalkeeper , Ryan O’Carroll took the gloves , and to his credit played well .From a fine James Duggan cross, Jesse O’Sullivan headed the Park into the lead , and this lead was doubled when a Kenmare defender turned a Jesse O’Sullivan attempt into his own net .Despite creating several chances the score remained 2-0 at half time .

The second half started with the lads looking very lethargic and with 20 minutes remaining Kenmare scored . Before Park had time to regroup , Kenmare made it 2-2 after some poor defending from a corner . To their credit the Park players kept going forward and despite hitting the woodwork on four occasions , were unable to put the ball past a very good Kenmare goalkeeper . Kenmare too had chances , looked dangerous from set plays , and showed a determination and desire that was a credit to their club .

A special mention for a very good refereeing performance by Tom Kerrisk . His attitude towards both set of players was first class and he treated the players with respect . It was nice to see .

A disappointing result , but it will be interesting to see how the lads react in the coming weeks .

Team : Ryan O’ Carroll , Sean Dukes, Roman Laucher , Sean Kelliher , Adam Barrett, Adam O’Rourke, Paddy Collins, Cian Kennedy, James Duggan, Jesse O’Sullivan , Dwyer Tobin sub David Murphy .
