We advance to the third round of the Munster Junior Cup thanks to a flurry of late goals after coming from behind .
At times we played some lovely one touch football and should have been well ahead early on only for some great goal keeping from Maurice O Keefe . Listowel who played a more direct approach rather than our possession style took the lead on the twenty minute mark when a shot from Aiden Quinn scored from the long range .
This seemed to spur us on and we were level minutes later when Cian Kennedy headed home from a Jesse Stafford Lacey corner . Three minutes later and we had the lead . Again it was a great corner from Jesse but this time it was James Duggan who headed home . However Just before half time Listowel got level when we lost possession in the middle of the pitch and Damien Murphy scored .
The second half was only minutes old when Karl Mullins finished a great move to give us a three two lead . It wasn’t until the 80th minute that we made sure of the game when Jesse O Sullivan scored . Jesse Stafford Lacey then produced a piece of magic when he took on three defenders before pulling the ball back to James Duggan who finished to make it 5-2 . Substitute Dwyer Tobin can on and made it 6-2 in the 88th minute . Listowel did get one back in injury time thanks to Chris Elbell from the penalty spot .
Next up in this competition is an away match to either Killarney Celtic or Tralee Dynamos
